Denis Borges Barbosa

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 12, 1948. Education: State University of Rio de Janeiro Law School (LL.B 1971); Gama Filho University (LL.M, Business Law, 1982); Columbia University Law School, New York (LL.M, 1983), JSD State University of Rio de Janeiro Law School (2006) Former General Attorney of the Brazilian Patent Office and Special Assistant to the Minister of Trade, was dlegate to several Diplomatic Conferences on trade and IP matters. Former member of the Rio de Janeiro City Government. Professor of IP Law of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and Dean of the Ibmec Law School. Author of 12 books and more than 180 articles on IP Law and policy, Foreign Investment, International Trade Law, Administrative and Constitutional Law, and Taxation.
