Grant Puleo's experience includes all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, development, acquisitions, leasing and financing. He has handled all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions and financings as well as specialized leasing transactions. He specializes in the financing and development of office, campus, research and development, and manufacturing facilities for emerging growth, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, technology, software and telecommunications companies throughout California and the United States. Previously a trial attorney, Mr. Puleo provides general litigation advice to clients and negotiates to resolve real estate-related litigation such as unlawful detainer, lis pendens and condemnation. Background Mr. Puleo was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He received a B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University in 1990 and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with great distinction (Order of the Coif) in 1995. Prior to Procopio, Mr. Puleo was an associate with the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker and with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison before that. Mr. Puleo has also lectured and written on various real estate and litigation topics. He is a frequent panelist and moderator for BIOCOM�s Facilities Workshops. He has spoken at BioParks 2001, CALBIOSummit 2003, Building Owners� & Tenants� Summit on Biotech, Medical Pharmaceutical Lab Facilities in 2003, and Sterling Education Services� Commercial Leases � Drafting, Enforcing, and Litigating Program in 2003. He was a risk management lecturer from 1996 to 1999, when he lectured to thousands of healthcare professionals throughout the western United States on various aspects of professional liability, risk management, insurance coverage, and other legal issues. Mr. Puleo has recently authored Biotechnology Leasing: Special Issues in Leasing Laboratory Space, which was published in the Journal of Corporate Real Estate in September 2003. He is also involved in many pro bono projects, including Monarch School, a school for at-risk and homeless children
