John Rizzo

I am an elder law attorney working in Northern Michigan at Swogger, Bruce & Millar Law Firm, P.C. I have practiced elder law for nearly twenty years. I specialize in helping clients receive Medicaid or Veterans benefits when they enter long-term care or assisted living. I am known for innovative planning and aggressive advocacy. I also represent clients before the Social Security Administration on disability applications and appeals. I serve on the Grand Traverse County Department of Health and Human Services Board which oversees the operation of the Pavilions, which is the county medical care facility (nursing home) located in Traverse City. I also help oversee the operation of our local DHHS office.
