I have been practicing law for 20 years. During the course of my practice, I have handled a wide range of legal matters. I have prosecuted and defended individuals and businesses in breach of contract matters at the state level. In real estate litigation, I have successfully represented individual landlords and tenants in eviction actions and I have represented homeowners in defending foreclosure actions. I have further assisted homeowners in prosecuting and defending quiet title actions at the state level. In the criminal law area, I have handled felony and misdemeanor cases. I also handle traffic cases. I help individuals begin a new life by assisting them with either expunging or sealing their criminal records. Or, if those remedies are not available, I prepare their clemency petitions. In the area of family law, I have prosecuted and defended numerous paternity actions, divorce, legal separations, and child support matters. In the area of administrative law, I have represented homeowners who were charged with violating the Chicago Municipal Code for either building code violations or traffic code violations. Additionally, I have successfully assisted individuals obtain unemployment benefits. As for transactional matters, I have represented buyers and sellers in real estate closings. I am also a title agent at First Suburban Title and First American Title companies. Additionally, I have defended owners in forfeiture of United States Currency and/or assets in state court. I am an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County. I decide cases involving personal injury, property damage, breach of contract and insurance subrogation matters. I am a volunteer for First Defense Legal Aid. It is an organization that represents individuals from the time they have been arrested by the Chicago Police Department until they are either released or charged with a crime.
