Mr. Maldonado�s courtroom experience includes cases at the trial level regarding the breach of telecommunication carrier contracts, billing disputes, patent infringement, trademark infringement, business litigation, prosecution of internet defamation, prosecution of trade secret disclosure, prosecution of diluted brands, breach of contracts over satellite services, and claims involving Radio Broadcasters. His appellate practice is limited State and Federal claims regarding administrative appeals and constitutional claims affecting communications, stored value, and VoIP technologies.
In 2004, Mr. Maldonado consulted and participated in the drafting and passage of the Illinois Phone Card Fraud Act, a law aimed at curbing consumer fraud by unstable and uncertified providers. Mr. Maldonado regularly advocates on issues concerning regulatory affairs of common carriers before the FCC, State Public Utility Commissions as well as other state and federal agencies.
