Personal Injury Attorney Matthew Noyes’ knowledge of car accident injuries dates back to when he was involved in a car accident at the age of 16. As he recovered from his fractured hip, torn rotator cuff and other injuries, Matthew learned how automobile accident injuries affect almost every aspect of one’s life. For the past 25 years, Matthew has been working in the personal injury field. He is a named partner at Perenich, Caulfield, Avril & Noyes, P.A. where he started as a legal assistant. By the time he graduated law school, Matthew had over seven years of practical experience as a legal assistant helping injured people put the pieces of their lives back together. He has dedicated his life to fighting for those injured because of the negligence of others. No case is too big or too small. Each client is treated equally because each client’s life is uniquely impacted by the automobile crash, pedestrian accident, trip and fall, or other event that caused that client’s injury. Insurance companies want to evaluate a claim by inputting selected data into a computer program to spit out the value of the claim. In addition to personal injury law, Matthew fights the Social Security Administration for individuals that have filed for Social Security Disability (SSDI) benefits. Matthew understands that it is very difficult for an individual to know what is needed to prevail on their Social Security Disability claim. By using his trial attorney skills, Matthew gathers the proper documentation to help convince a judge that his client is entitled to SSDI benefits. Matthew also battles insurance companies on behalf of workers who are injured in a Florida workers’ compensation claim. Although the work comp law is slanted in the insurance company’s favor, he will file the necessary Petition for Benefits to fight to get the workers’ compensation benefits an injured worker is entitled to. Matthew was born in Naperville, Illinois, He has been living in Pinellas County since 1976 when he, his parents, and his 10 brothers and sisters relocated to Clearwater. He attended St. Cecelia Catholic School where his mother was his music teacher. He also graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School where his brother taught him chemistry and physics. Following high school, Matthew obtained two associate degrees from St. Petersburg Junior College and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of South Florida and his Juris Doctorate at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, graduating sixth in his law school class despite working to support his family. Matthew is dedicated to his community. He enjoyed being an adjunct professor in the Legal Assistant program at St. Petersburg College. Matthew has spoken numerous times at the Clearwater Bar Association’s People’s Law School and appeared as a guest on the radio show “Ask an Attorney.” He has sponsored youth baseball teams, and enjoyed reading to younger children at the local library. Previously, Matthew oversaw the Christmas in January event sponsored by the Clearwater Bar Association. This event provides a Christmas for underprivileged children in our community. Matthew Noyes is admitted to practice in all Florida courts, as well as the United States District Court. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Clearwater Bar Association, and the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Matthew has appeared as a host and guest on the live call-in legal television show, FLA LAW. When he’s not working, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, Marti, and his two children, Krystal and Jacob. Krystal graduated from St. Petersburg College with her four-year degree but remains “Daddy’s Little Girl.” Matthew and Marti adopted Jacob from Guatemala, and feel very blessed to have him in their lives. Matthew also enjoys the Chicago Cubs and is a season ticket holder for the Tampa Bay Rays. He coached and played on his somewhat-successful softball team in Madeira Beach. Now, Matthew coaches his son’s Largo Little League team and assists in coaching his son’s Clearwater Chargers Recreational team.
