Byron G. Petersen, an attorney with extremely broad experience in a number of legal arenas, graduated first in his graduating class at the University of Florida where he was awarded a full three year academic scholarship and was one of only two students from the 25,000 general member student population to be nominated for the Rhodes Scholarship. He has practiced since 1976. In addition to his legal practice he was a professor of Law- for 20 years- at Nova Law School (now remaining on the adjunct roster) and has served as an arbitrator and mediator. He is particularly involved in judging moot court appellate competitions at Nova Law School and is a proficient lecturer on several state and national legal topics. Mr. Petersen has spoken to more than 3,500 professionals during his career, not to mention those who have viewed his online podcasts. Most of Mr. Petersen's career was with the law firm of Greenberg Traurig (20 years), now 1800 attorneys in almost every country in the World. While at Greenberg he served as President of the Dade County Bar YLS, a Member of the YLS Florida Bar, and wrote questions for specialty board certification examinations. Mr. Petersen practices in most legal fields. If a question is outside his experience he will refer you to the proper professional. Mr. Petersen practices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and the Palm Beaches in both state and federal courts but also practices outside that territory as legal needs may arise.
