Legal Question in Banking Law in
IF amount mentioned in deposit slip differs from what is written over cheque. Will that cheue will be cleared.

cheque will be cleared for the amount stated therein and not that noted differently on the pay in slip. if the deposit slip is filled up with an amount different from the cheque, the bank may return the pay in slip for correction and some bank may correct it by itself, putting an initial of the bank officer over the correction.
