Legal Question in Banking Law in India
I had given cheque to my friend and paid the amount through another account by online transaction after the date mentioned in the cheque. I paid it three times and to total amount. Because I didn't have the full amount at the same time. So I paid it partial manner. But I didn't get back my cheque. Is there any problem if he files a case??

Dear Sir / Madam,
In my opinion, it is advisable to request your friend to return back your cheque since you have already paid and settled the amount you owed b, if the transaction is completed, so as to avoid any misunderstanding or uncertainty and rid yourself of any eventual future doubt that he will also withdraw that is t. If he / she lodges a recovery claim, you have the documents in your defence to justify yourself legally.
Regards,
