Does self cheque can be payable to third party

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, a bearer cheque is payable to a third party in the sense that the third party can withdraw the cash against the cheque by visiting the Bank, or if the third party so desires, he / she can also simply cross the cheque and deposit it in his / her account for clearing.
