Legal Question in Banking Law in
A cheue properly drawn with name of the payee, amount but not dated: Is it a valid cheque ? Does it not tentamount to giving authority to the Holder in Due Course to fill up the date?

A cheque undated can be dated by the payee. It is valid. Only snag is if the date he puts, the drawer is not in existence, i.e. if the bank knows he is dead, it can refuse to pay the cheque.
