Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Dear Sir,
I gave an amount to my friend by way of cheque. The conditions of return are not in writing. He has not paid back any amount for the last 7 months since the amount was given. I only have bank statement to support my claim.
Can I hope for getting my money back?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, you will certainly get your money back. Since your bank statement reveals that your cheque has been encashed by your friend, you are entitled to claim the principal amount you wrote on the cheque plus simple interest @ 15% per annum from the date of realization of the cheque till the date you receive the payment from your friend.
Regards,
