Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Dear sir,
I had given Rs 30000/- to one of my friend in Oct'2010, he has given a promissory note and a cheque for an amount of Rs31000/- with out writing the date on it. Is there any chance to put stop cheque payment for this cheque by him. If so Shall I present the cheque. Does it dishonors if insufficient funds exists?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, you can insert the date on the cheque and deposit it in your Bank. Yes, the cheque will be dishonoured in case of insufficient funds in the drawer's A/c.
