Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Please tell me about Equitable Mortgage by deposit of title deeds can bank ask for chain documents if property is lease hold bcoz when we have purchase from old owner we not get chain documents of lease hold property but we have certified copies with us.Please share case laws about this matter

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, Bank has the right to ask for any documentary evidence including previous chain of property documents to consider the loan.
