Legal Question in Banking Law in India
My father had an account in the bank but not given the nominee and he expired 1 year back. Bank asked for the family tree certificate and we submitted them with the family tree which had the heading as AFFIDAVIT and contained our address and names of my mother and me and was notarized with the lawyer. And other sheet containing the electronic sign of tahsildar. But the bank is telling it is not the proper document what we need. The document should not contain the notary. There should be only tahsildar sign and seal. So please guide me with what the document should be submitted and how it has to be done

1) The Tahsildar certificate with digital signature need not be counter signed by anybody like Notary.
2) The affidavit if Notarized is more authentic which the bank should not refuse.
3) Ask the Bank what proper document do they require.

Dear Sir / Madam,
You should obtain a Succession Certificate from the Court and submit it to the Bank.
