Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Hi,
My Father has completed 20 years of Service in State Bank, he was voluntiary retired in 2005 but his official DOB was 7th july,1956. He was in his 50th year at the time of retirement.
My Father service was calculated by the Bank, it was more than 20 years at 2005. All the pension documents were signed and send for approval. It was more than 1 year since we signed the document, this week we got a letter from SBI mentioning that pension has been rejected based on some rule 22 of SBI employee pension fund.
Bank has to give arrear of pension from 2005 to 2014, that must be in lakhs, so they thought it must be best for Bank to reject the pension claim.
Do we have strong case against SBI or not?

Your father has a good case. Please file a writ petition in the High Court.
