Legal Question in Banking Law in India
My husband had a personal loan which has a due of Rs. 3.6 lac's. He passed away last year. Now the bank has attached my individual account with the due left in the loan account of my husband. I seek your advice as neither I was the party in the loan nor I was the guarantor. how is it my liability? The bank's verdict in this matter is that I am the legal heir of my husband so they have attached my account and deducted the amount from my individual account.
