is a joint account's introduction is valid to open a bank account? (with just one person's signature)

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, a joint account's introduction is valid to open a Bank account. If the joint account is operated by both the joint holders, they both have to sign as introducing parties. If the joint account is operated by say the first named holder alone, his / her signature is sufficient as the introducing party. However, it is advisable and recommended that all the joint account holders sign as introducing parties.
