If u don't need your original certificate and mark sheet u simply ignore the legal notice. The bank may file a suit against you for the amount. U defend the same thru lawyer as a void contract in restraint of trade. U can also rise an industrial dispute before the Labour court in Manipal for recovery of your certicates by claiming that the bank is guilty of unfair Labour practice.
