Legal Question in Banking Law in India
on28august 2014 i took self cheque of icici bank branch kompally & i took id card with me but manager refuses to give cash to me stating that i am not the authorize person so cash shall be paid to the account holder only , my question question to u is how far it is correct & every time i go to icici bank i face some or other problems pls tell me a person with id proof can with draw cash or not for self cheque

Dear Sir / Madam,
A self bearer cheque entitles the A/c holder to withdraw cash from his / her A/c. If you are a person other than the A/c holder, the bearer cheque has to be issued in your name and not self, to enable you to withdraw cash from the A/c with your identity card as proof.
