I was paid salary by a cheq which was later stopped from payment recived reply notice what do I do now

your remedy is two fold. One criminal action under section 138 Neg. Inst. Act for which you must first issue a notice to the employer to make good the cheque. Second remedy is civil summary suit for recovery of the salary and other dues, if any,

even if the payment is stopped by the bank upon the application of drawer, still an action is maintainable but you need to be careful in this kind of complaint as the payment may be stopped due to non fulfillment of promise by the complainant or non delivery goods. the cheque has to be given towards the debt or liability.
