Legal Question in Banking Law in Pakistan
*** A partnership account of two partners was being maintained in a bank with operating instructions that both would operate the account jointly. Now one of the partner has died and the surviving partner approached the branch for having bank statement of partnership account so that the surviving partner may file petition in the court for grant of Succession Certificate in his favour. Please advise whether it will be legitimate / under the law to provide bank statement of account to the surviving partner without any consent of legal heirs of deceased partner.
