Legal Question in Banking Law in

A party gave me 2 cheques of Rs10000/- each. But after deposit the cheque , those cheques bounced and the charges are debited from my account. I want my money back, party not responding, is there any law for the bounced cheque?

yes sir, there is a law. You have to issue notice in writing by registered post to the drawer of the cheques within 30 days of the dishonour that his two cheques have been dishonoured. If he does not make the payment within 15 days you can file the criminal complaint against the drawer.

your second option is to file summary suit under order 37 CPC for recovery of the amount. this can be filed within 3 years of the dates of cheques.
