Legal Question in Banking Law in Pakistan
*** A person who is government employee maintaining a bank account where his salary is credited. Recently he suffered from PARALYSIS making his hands not function properly as a consequence of which now he is unable to sign cheques so as to tally / resemble with one in bank branch's record.
The branch is bound to clear only those cheques which are in order and signed properly duly matched with specimen provided earlier to the bank / in branch's record. Please advise that in the stated scenario where salary of account holder is being credited regularly in his account by the department concerned / employer as to how Branch Manager should handle this case so as to avoid any legal complications in future.
