Legal Question in Banking Law in India

I have PNB Savings bank A/c in Kaushambi Branch of Ghaziabad. On 13.12.2014. and on 17.12.2014, I had withdrawn only Rs 10000 on each day, but 20000rs was deducted on each day. In the above two occasions initially I tried to withdraw 15000Rs but the ATM did not respond, then again I entered the reduced amount of 10000 to which the ATM responded and gave me 10000 rs on both the days. I had not withdrawn 20000rs on any of the above days. I lodged a complaint, but the bank has informed that transaction was successful and rejected my request for refund and forwarded some atm paper in which I have been shown to have withdrawn twice on 13.12.2014.

Again and again I am making request to them to verify from the CC Tv how many times the ATM has actually given me money and the cash records of the atm. But the bank is not at all listening to my request and are adamant on their deduction

Dear Sir / Madam,

Whenever you withdraw money from the ATM, you instantly receive a Cash Transaction Slip (CTS) from the ATM giving detail of the cash withdrawn. You are supposed to be instantly checking the amount mentioned in the CTS, and if there was a difference therein as you say i.e. the ATM actually delivered you Rs. 10,000/- in Cash on 13.12.2014, but the CTS by the ATM on completion of the withdrawal showed a debit of Rs.20,000/- to your A/c, you ought to have immediately reported the matter to the Bank in writing that very day, or if you transacted at the ATM after banking hours, the very next day, so as to enable the Bank to investigate and reconcile the Cash. Same is the case, if at all this mismatch re-occurred again on the 17.12.2014. The CCTV will only show your footage of having used the ATM on the 13th and 17th of December, 2014 If you have complied with the above timelines of lodging the complaint with the Bank, and if you have produced your ATM Cash Transaction Slips to the Bank as evidence thereof, you should escalate the matter to the Regional Manager of the Bank for intervention.

Regards,
