Legal Question in Banking Law in India
for what purpose account holder name,phone no and sign on back side of the self cheque leaf for withdrawal of 16000.00

Dear Sir / Madam,
It is not the account holder's name (since it already appears on the face of the cheque). Since it is a self cheque, the Bank needs a record of the person who has actually withdrawn the cash from the A/c and hence this practice. The Bank is also entitled to ask the person's photo ID prior to paying the cash.
