Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Recently i issued dd to social trade from hdfc bank. now social trade was closed due to some fraud.
that dd still unused. how can i get money back from bank how can i cancel the dd to get money please advise me

Dear Sir / Madam,
Even if social trade has closed down, there will be some person in the Accounts Department who will have custody of all the documents and records of the establishment, You should try to obtain the original DD back from the custodian of the establishment's records. On obtaining the original DD you should submit an application along with an Indemnity Bond on Stamp Paper of Rs. 100/- *Rupees One Hundred Only) mentioning the reason(s) for cancellation and that you take full responsibility to indemnify the Bank for any loss and compensation that the Bank or social trade may incur or suffer in future.
