Legal Question in Banking Law in India

Sir, i have pledged my jewel in a bank in my father's name. Unfortunately, father passed away September 15. I have paid off all debit in January 2016. Now, the bank authorities need legal heirship certificate to return the jewels. When i approached Govt. authorities, the asked me to provide Mother's death certificate, who had passed away twelve years back & i don't have the death certificate. How can i get back my jewels. We are two brothers and a sister. My brother and sister are welly known that the jewel is pertaining to me only. your early reply is highly appreciated, Tkz.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You can obtain a certified copy of your mother's Death Certificate from the local Municipality Office by submitting an application quoting the date of your mother's demise to the Government authorities and obtain the Legal Heir Certificate. If your deceased father has left behind his Testament or Will stating therein that the jewels in his name vest in you , you can also submit a copy of that Will to the Bank for release of your jewels.

Regards,
