Legal Question in Banking Law in India

Sir,
I was selected in UCO Bank as a Probationary Officer and was supposed to join on 02 Apr 13. I suffered from Jaundice and intimated the same to HR Dept of UCO bank and asked for 01 month extension of joining time upto 30 Apr 13. After a lot of query i was granted only 15 days extension and was instructed on 15 Apr 13 to Join on 17 Apr 13. But I couldnot join on 17 Apr as I was not in a position to join because of my ill health. On 17 Apr I intimated the same to HR Dept of Uco Bank and requested for grant of extension of joining upto 30 Apr 13. The HR Department denied the extension of joining. But my friend who was supposed to join on 02 Jun 13 was granted 02 months extension.
I had written the total matter to Chairman and MD of UCO Bank but i got a reply from Chief Manager of UCO bank that as i have not joined on 17 Apr 13 my candidature has been cancelled. Sir, my question is that if I go to court can i get the job?
