Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Sir,
I have issued a cheque to my business partner but he didnt sign the agreement yet and i dont want to give money to him. He din start the business yet and he din pay me anything back. If i issue a stop cheque, will it be legally ok?

Dear Sir / Madam,
You are well within your right to instruct your Bank in writing to stop the payment of your cheque since you do not intend to enter the business and no agreement has been signed, and the business operations are yet to commence.
