Legal Question in Banking Law in India
I sold my property for Rs. 5 lakhs . buyers issued me a cheque against said amount,even registration also been done,. When I hv presented in the bank
for cheque realization, I came know from that buyers sign is not matching.
(Cheque no and other details has been entered in the registered document)'
Kindly let me know legal strength of my case.

If the bank has returned the cheque on account of signature mismatch, only way to get payment is to issue notice within 14 days of the return of the cheque, to the drawer of the cheque to make payment within 15 days of the receipt of that notice. If he fails you can prosecute him within .one month from the expiry of the 15 days of the receipt of the notice by him.
