Legal Question in Banking Law in India

today the 17th of sept 2013. i had to settle a loan , for which i was a so called guaranteer ( i dont remember signing any such documents) , the loan was taken by an acquaintance sometime in 2006 , i was harassed by Delhi police and advocates of Delhi high court and made to pay on the defaulters behalf.. i was threatened of being arrested and dragged to delhi from kolkata.. still confused if it was real or a fake case scenario .. the truth is i had to pay onbehalf of someone who gave my name as a garaunteer . the same was for bajaj finance ltd

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should have verified all the documents and only thereafter, you ought to have made payment. Unless you have actually signed as the guarantor, the onus is on the finance Company to prove that you are the actual guarantor, and to prove that you are liable for payment.
