Legal Question in Business Law in India
Hello,
I am from Visakhapatnam, Andhra pradesh, i want to be a seller (product not yet decided) in any of the existing ecommerce websites (example. Amazon, Flipkart etc). But i am not aware of legal requirements before joining. Currently i am working in a private company. I am seeking clarification on below.
1. Can i directly join ecommerce site without having any business name registered with local bodies.
2. Can i start selling in ecommerce site if i start business as sole propritor. Please confirm if sole propriter firm need any registration?

Dear Sir / Madam,
A sole proprietary concern does not require any registration. It is advisable and recommended to have a business name. As regards procedural formalities required to be completed, you may check with rules and regulations on the ecommerce website.
