Legal Question in Business Law in India
Hi,
I am working in one of the reputed BPO in Mumbai,India.
At the time of joining it was informed to me that we have to serve 30 day notice period while leaving the organisation.
Now post merger with another company we have received an email which states we have to serve 60 day notice period. So far we have not received any letter nor I have signed anything but when I have communicated with HR; they said that they have the rights to change the policy.
Please help if I can dispute my notice period...

Dear Sir / Madam,
The notice period of 30 days as stated in your appointment letter will be applicable to you. If the Company takes a policy decision to revise the notice period to 60 days, it would be applicable to all new employees joining the Company from the date the policy revision takes place. You should take this stance and make it clear to the Company that the notice period as mentioned in your appointment letter will be applicable to you.
