Dear Sir / Madam,
If the private equity transactions are locally sourced, they will be governed by the prevailing guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi. Where the private equity transactions are being funded by NRI's / OCI's / PIO's from outside India, they will attract the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Regards,
