can i resign on medical ground without giving notice period? i work in MNC and notice period is for 2 months as per the offer letter. offer letter also states that i can buy this notice period but this will be on companies discretion. i have already taken too many leaves due to health issues and my management is well aware of the same. My doc has asked for rest for 3 mnts so i can fully recover. I am also not from Pune so parents are forcing to come back home for treatment. I have gone thru my companies HR policy it say all is in hands of Manager however nothing is mentioned what will happen if it is medical case. Please advice how should i deal with this situation as manager is not ready for lesser notice period

please write to them explaining your medical condition supported by medical certificates and prescriptions. Ask them for extension of leave and if they refuse the same you can leave the company resigning on medical grounds.
