'X' duly forced a letter of acceptance to 'Y' but the letter is lost in the transit by the neglegance of the post office. what effect does it have on the formation of legal contract give reason for your answer.

Dear Sir / Madam,
Offer and acceptance are two prerequisites of a contract. Since there is no acceptance, no contractual obligation is created.
