Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Hi, I am a 28 year married woman staying with my husband in a rented house. we got married last November 2013. We had a love marriage and we both are happy with each other. My husband loves me a lot and I do the same. But the problem is my mom-in-law. From the day when she came to know that my husband is going around with me and loves me, she started creating problems. She used to mentally torture my husband before marriage. She had tried to hold back my husband to her but he left the house and started leaving alone and then we got registered and married socially. Now the problem is, she calls me and abuses me in slangs and behaves as if I am no one and she will take away her son from me by any cost. My husband is very supportive and protest the same. He has clearly said that if she wants to spoil our family life then he will take legal action against her. She always keep on calling him and disturbs him. She is financially sound and possess good amount of ancestral property.

Please do let me know how to tackle this situation as I dont want to lose him and I love him very much. I want to survive our marriage relationship.

Please advise.

this is more of a social problem rather than a legal. you have a overpossessive mom to tackle and you husband ignoring her has added fuel to the fire.If the family could take counselling it may help .
