Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
I am 45 years old and my girlfriend is 25 years of age. We both want to get married. But her father is coming in between. One way or the other, he prevents the meeting for fixing the marriage from taking place. My girlfriend has lodged numerous police complains, and every time they have sent him to police lock up for a day. But that has not deterred him from coming between us.
What legal recourse do we have?
I live in kalyan, Maharashtra.

Since she is adult, there is no restriction on her marrying as per her own wishes. She does not need her father's consent for marriage. Go ahead. All the best.!!
