Dear Sir / Madam,
It is immaterial whether your father has self acquired or ancestral property as the treatment is the same in both instances. If your father makes a Will, the beneficiary named in the Will will be the owner of the property. And if your father does not make a Will, all his sons and daughters will be entitled to an equal share of the property.
Regards,
