Dear Sir / Madam,
You should adhere to the clauses governing your employment. If the terms and conditions of your employment do not prohibit you from engaging in any other activity or from taking up any voluntary association, and if the association in no way affects or hinders or jeopardizes your employment, you may become a member of or run a voluntary organization. Verbal confirmation of your senior thereto is advisable and recommended.
Regards,
