Dear Sir / Madam,
"Contempt" means a denial or refusal to obey court orders. If the Court order pertains to a civil suit, it will be deemed civil contempt of court and if the Court order pertains to a criminal suit, it will be deemed criminal contempt of court. Punishment for civil or criminal contempt of court is a fine and or imprisonment as decided by the Judge hearing the contempt proceedings.
Regards,
