Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
IN civil suit along evidence ,can i file xerox copies as i have lost the original documents.
if not should i get the xerox copies attested by notary.
pl. advice .

Photocopies cannot be exhibited in the court even if they attested by notary.

Dear Sir / Madam,
You should get certified extracts of original agreements / certificates / deeds from the concerned authority who originally issued these documents, and then present them in the Court for the hearing. Just notarizing xerox copies is invalid and meaningless.
