Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
A company is asking me to fill a bond before joining.is it legal??How can we recognize that a particular document is bond or a contract of employment??

Dear Sir / Madam,
A performance or service bond of any nature, being bonded labour, insisted by a Company is illegal and a criminal offence. The bond period and the penalty for breaking the bond is mentioned in the Service Agreement. It is never advisable to join a Company that insists on such a bond from you, because if you break the bond midway, the Company will press recovery of salary for the bond period short served by you in the Company.
