Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
As we all know, the constitution grants certain rights and privileges to the sc st people with regard to admissions into colleges, jobs etc. What happens if a a person belonging to the sc community does not want to excercise his right?can he apply under general merit ? Can he waive off his right?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Obviously. Caste classification or discrimination of any form or nature is illegal and a criminal offence. Job reservations for SC, ST, OBC have been abolished since the 1990's. A few Educational concessions still prevail.
