Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Dear sir / madam,

Last Sunday ( 23-03-2014 ) My brother has hit a wall of the housing in the neighborhood. Because his compound wall was our place. Now neighbor compliant to police station. Now my brother is absconding. Police still now did not make FIR. Now how I safe my brother. Court what will give the punishment? Or shall we paid only fine?

Dear Sir / Madam,

If your brother has damaged the common compound wall separating your house and the neighbouring house due to negligence or on purpose, it remains your responsibility to restore the wall to the condition that it originally was. Secondly, it is the duty of the Police to register each and every complaint in the register maintained at the Police station, including a missing complaint of your brother. If the PSI on duty refuses to register your "missing" complaint, you should complain to the DSP at the Police station and get the missing complaint registered. Try to amicably resolve the matter with your neighbour before it is dragged to the Court.
