Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Dear Sir,
can you suggest me what are the remedies in the following case-
6 month before my client has entered into a lease deed with a landlord wherein my client has not given rent plus interest free security deposit. My client has issued two cheques to fulfill the commitment but both the cheques returned unpaid stating that the A/C no has no sufficient balance. Meanwhile the other party has has did necessary mordifications in the property as per the instructions of my client. Now the other party has issued notice claiming that if the whole amount is not paid within bays of the receipt of the notice, they are claiming Rs.5 lakhs as damage.
Date of receipt of notice from our side is 20th December 2013.(This is for your information)
Thanks
