Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Dear sir,If a power of attorney grantor sold his land to the Grantee and collected his whole money by issuing a receipt properly signed and attested by two witnesses .He also wrote in the receipt that he relinquished all his right and he has no right over the property. The grantee now built a house on the property and sold the property to a third party for more consideration .Now the grantor sent a lawyer notice for balance amount and statement of accounts. Can the Grantor claim the balance amount? LAWRENCE,india [email protected]

Dear Lawrence,
When the seller has issued a final money receipt for having received the full consideration as per sale, he cannot now turn around and say that some balance is owed to him. It will never hold good in any court of law.
Regards,
