Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Hi.

I entered into a mutual divorce with my husband in march16. He agreed to make the alimony payment in 3 installments.

First motion with first installment is done.

Second installment will be paid on second motion where he gets the divorce decree.

Third has to be paid on quashing of FIR.

I wanted to know what if he doesnot appear for quashing of FIR after getting the divorce and doesnt make the third payment?

How long can he delay making all these payments?

My lawyer told it should be done in 18 months time or he can be put in JC for contempt.
