Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Hello Experts,
My father belongs to Scheduled Caste. My mother belongs to Forward Caste. They are seperated for the past 20 years now. I was raised by my mother and we never received any support from my father. My father's caste didn't help me in getting any help from the government as well. I would like to legally change my caste to that of my mother's and opt out of any benefits that government might provide for belonging to SC category now. Is there anyway I could go to open category from scheduled category? Kindly adivce.
Thank you.
